Evacuation Day

March 17 is Evacuation Day (and St. Patrick day) a holiday observed in Suffolk County. The holiday commemorates the evacuation of British forces from the city of Boston following the Siege of Boston, early in the American Revolutionary War. Schools and government offices are closed. If March 17 falls on a weekend, schools and government offices are closed on the following Monday in observance.

Today my day was cool and fun.
Today we had Looking at Art we were looking at Mona Lisa, and her eyes kept staring at me.
Recess was really fun i was playing this game that I had to chase my friend.
We had Spanish today and we had a new Spanish teacher because our other Spanish teacher was moving to California because his wife lived in California .

Things That Make Me Happy!

Some of the things that make me happy are helping others of they need help.
I like to make people happy so that they can make me happy as well.
Being happy means that you are smiling and not grumpy and not frowning.
One thing that makes my parents happy is that when I clean my room and do my chores.

Dr. Suess Day

Dr. Seuss's full name is Theodor Seuss Geisel.
He was born on March 2, 1904 and died on September 24, 1991
He was an American writer and cartoonist most widely known for his children's books written under the pen name Dr. Seuss.
He published over 60 children's books, which were often characterized by imaginative characters and rhyme.

National Pig Day

Pigs are meat and they get turned in to pork, sausages, and other meat.
They are the dirtiest animals in the world but they taste good.
Some pigs are pink some are brown.
Baby pigs are called piglets.
