New Jersey used to have volcanoes.
There's a Six Flags in New Jersey.

Wright Brothers Day

In 1892, the Wright brothers also became bicycle manufacturers to capitalize on the bicycle.
Know as the "craze" sweeping the nation.
They began building, racing and repairing bicycles.
Their company produced three models - the "Van Cleve" named after their pioneer ancestors, later the "St. Clair", and finally, some say they had a low-priced model known as the "Wright Special".

Boston Tea Party

The Boston Tea Party was a direct action by colonists in Boston.
Boston was a town in the British colony of Massachusetts.
They were also against the British government.
On December 16, 1773, after officials in Boston refused to return three shiploads of taxed tea to Britain, a group of colonists boarded the ships and destroyed the tea by throwing it into Boston Harbor.

Eli Whitney the inventor of the Cotton Gin as born on Dec. 8 1765
and Died on Jan. 8 1825. Eli Whitney is best remembered
as the inventor of the cotton gin.
Whitney saw that a machine is to clean the seed from cotton
could make the South prosperous.

National Dice Day

Dice is the plural of die.
They are small cubes used in games.

Rosa Parks Day

On December 1, 1955 in Montgomery, Alabama, Parks, age 42, refused
to obey bus driver to give up her seat to make room for a white passenger.
Her action was not the first of its kind: Irene Morgan, in 1946, and Sarah
Louise Keys, in 1955, had won rulings before the U.S. Supreme Court and
the Interstate Commerce Commission respectively in the area of interstate
bus travel. Nine months before Parks refused to give up her seat, 15-year-old
Claudette Colvin refused to move from her seat on the same bus system.

The International Children's Day had its origin in Turkey in 1920 (April 23, 1920) and later in the World Conference for the Well-being of Children in Geneva, Switzerland in 1925. It is not clear as to why June 1 was chosen as the International Children's Day: one theory has it that the Chinese consul-general in San Francisco (USA) gathered a number of Chinese orphans to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival in 1925, which happened to be on June 1 that year. Also coincided with the conference in Geneva.
Children's Day was first celebrated worldwide in October 1955.

Today we had Step and It was fun!

Today we had a program named Big Sister and there we play games and we got to show them our step routine and it was SOOOOOOOOOOO Fun. We went to the park and we played lots of fun games!!!!!!!
